How acaply works for producers, vocalists, and the people who run sessions.
For vocalists
acaply works on an application basis. We're not a service for bedroom producers. Our ecosystem consists of the leading producers, labels, management companies and publishers across the global music industry. Many of the biggest dance producers in the world have released songs embodying acaply vocals, despite our service only being in its infancy.
Subscribers can turn their visibility on/off. If they have theirs on, you'll be able to see their profile on your dashboard as a listener/downloader.
Yes. You always have the final say about if/how your acapella is used on a release. Producers wishing to explore the release of a demo including one of your vocals will submit to you through the platform. If it doesn't align, you can simply decline, but if you wish to explore a prospective release further, a chat between you and the requester will be opened to discuss terms/their plans for it. Your voice, your terms.
No! It's all up for discussion. Depending on several factors, you may want to prioritise primary, feature or writer credit, but you ultimately have the final say.
When a producer submits to you for a hold or release, they will share the track and additional information (intended release partner, level of credit sought, etc) which will help you make a decision. However, if the submitting producers are all ok with doing non-exclusive licenses (typically in writer credit scenarios), multiple releases can proceed with the same vocal.
It depends on several factors: release partner (major label / independent label / distributor), usage (small amount vs whole vocal used), profile of producer, level of credit requested etc.
It is strictly against acaply policy for subscribers to use vocals for AI training purposes. Any accounts found to be in breach will be permanently banned from acaply.
We monitor for unauthorised distribution and permanently ban producers found in breach. Producers agree to our terms and conditions before joining the platform; releasing a track that uses your vocals without permission is a serious breach.
We work on a commission only basis, so we only make money once you do.
No. We don't commission off of publishing royalties, so both your and their share remain fully intact.

For producers
acaply sources vocals from established artists around the world, who write, record and then provide acapellas that you can create fresh new tracks with, or drop into pre-existing instrumentals that are missing that final piece of the jigsaw.
acaply works on an application basis. Our platform is for established producers/companies in the music industry. We offer Solo accounts for £14.99 per month or £149.90 per year (2 months free), as well as Enterprise tiers with 3 seat (£34.99/mo or £349.90/yr) and 5 seat (£49.99/mo or £499.90/yr) levels. Enterprise tiers are typically for labels, management companies or publishers, who may wish to assign seats to producers on their roster or A&Rs/other employees. If your company wishes to purchase a subscription with more than 5 seats, please reach out to hello@acaply.com.
We publish 5 new packs to the platform every week, recorded by established artists all over the world.
No. Once you have a track you want to explore releasing, submit to the artist direct through the platform. If the artist wishes to explore making the release happen, they'll select to open a chat dialogue, where terms, level of credit and license exclusivity can be discussed. Once both parties are aligned, you're good to go!
Each user has 50 credits per month. 1 credit = 1 download. Credit top ups may be purchased if a user runs out before the end of the month.
Great! If you're yet to establish what a release looks like and you want to ensure no one else can get their hands on the vocal whilst you figure it out, you can submit a 'Hold' request to the vocalist. If approved, the acapella won't be downloadable from the platform until they decide otherwise, allowing for a window to finish the track/find a label/etc without the risk of someone else exclusively licensing the vocal.
In addition to submitting to a vocalist for a Hold, you can also submit to discuss a release. The right time to submit is once the track is in its final (or near final) form, a release partner (label/distributor) has been established and there's a clear date/window of time that you would like to drop. The vocalist will be presented with this information and can select one of two options: Decline (which closes the request), or Explore Further. If the vocalist selects the latter, a chat dialogue opens on the platform, where terms can be discussed and hopefully agreed to proceed with a release.
Congrats! The acapella is removed from the platform and it's all yours.
